WE DO NOT SHIP OUR PUPPIES OR ADULT DOGS.
We insist meeting prospective new owners. Please contact us so we can arrange a visit to our home so we can meet in person and you can meet our dogs.
We hope to have a litter this fall. Contact us for more information. j_ann_shibas@hotmail.com
Here at J-Ann Shiba Inu we breed for quality not quantity.
J-Ann Shiba Inu Kennel is a small private breeder in Illinois of quality Shiba Inus. We do have litters occasionally as we breed to continue our bloodline. If you are interested in our dogs or one of the puppies we are not keeping please contact: Jane at j_ann_shibas@hotmail.com
A visit to our home or arranged meeting is a must. We insist on knowing the families who want to adopt our little ones so shipping sight unseen is not possible. Please don’t ask. Check out the retired show dogs and older pups looking for homes
All puppies are guaranteed, started on vaccines and certified healthy by my veterinarian.
I perform the "Early Neurological Stimulation" Protocol, originally developed by the US Military to help improve the performance of their dogs, with all my litters. This involves specific stimulation exercises performed on puppies from the time they are 3 days old until they are 16 days old. These exercises have been proven to improve cardio vascular performance, create stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease. If you are interested in learning more about this, click here, Early Neurological Stimulation.
A good 1st Shiba book is Shiba Inus (Complete Pet Owner's Manual) By Laura Payton
A good training book is When Pigs Fly! by Jane Killion and looking through the website When Pigs Fly! Dog Training
Each puppy I place is given a copy of Jane Killion's Puppy Culture excerise booklet. I higly recommend going through her Puppy Culture website, lots of good information along with other great produts to purchase.
